“I’m no longer a slave to fear” is the name of a song recorded composed by Bethel Music featuring Jonathan David and Melissa Helser and Jonathan Helser, Joel Case wrote it, and Brian Johnson, a live version of the song was released as an element of the Bethel Music compilation, “We Will Not Be Shaken.” It was recorded live on a mountaintop that overlooked Shasta Lake in northern California,with Jonathan David & Melissa Helser performing the song. The recording version from the studio was a hit on Christian radio and was released as a digital download. Grammy-winning music producer Ed Cash recorded it.
In August 2016, The Gospel Music Association announced the 47th GMA Dove Awards nominees, with “No Longer Slaves” being selected for the GMA Dove Award in the “Worship Song of the Year” category. On the 11th of October in 2016, the song was awarded the GMA Dove Award at a ceremony on the Allen Arena on the campus of Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, and featured Jonathan David & Melissa Helser performing the song on the night.
