The well-known American gospel musician and pastor, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, sings a praise-worship song called ” Faithful is our God“.
Walker is a native of Brooklyn, New York. He was a student at Long Island University, majoring in Sociology. He also was a student at Hugee Theological Seminary and the New York School of the Bible.
The year 2001 was when Hezekiah And the LFT Church Choir were nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Best Gospel Traditional Artist due to their Album “Love Is Love! ” In addition, Walker was awarded Grammy Awards for Best Gospel Album Choir Or Chorus twice in 1994 for the Live at Atlanta on Morehouse College (1994) with The Love Fellowship Crusade Choir and in 2001. For The Love of the World! (2001) with The LFT Church Choir.
In contrast to The Love Fellowship Crusade Choir, Walker’s LFT Church Choir released two albums titled Live at Love Fellowship Tabernacle in 1998 and “Love Is Live” in 2001. LFT Church Choir was younger and hip-hop-oriented than its predecessor, and its album made it to the top 5 of the Billboard Gospel Chart and was nominated for a Grammy Award the same year. Gospel performer Hezekiah Walker is commonly referred to as the Hip-Hop Pastor because of the select members from the Love Fellowship Tabernacle megachurch, which includes Lil’ Kim and Diddy.
